HIGH SPEED AMMUNITION INSPECTION SYSTEMS
OTM-DIM
The OTM-DIM cartridge inspection machine is designed to validate cartridge, bullet, and casing dimensions. This system uses a back light optical comparison method to check profile relative to a master image. A very simplistic design with a feed dial and an inspection dial allows the machine to safely run a wide range of products with quick tooling changes.
Run Rates In Parts Per Minute
- 9MM – 90-100 PPM
- 223/5.56 – 90 – 100 PPM
- 7.62×39 – 90 – 100 PPM
- 7.62×51 – 80 – 90 PPM
- 338 Lapua – 70 – 80 PPM
Machine Details
The OTM-DIM inspection systems are controlled from the on-board PC connecting the machine to the inspection sensors. PC control systems make adjusting the camera and inspection sensors much simpler. Operators will have a real time view of what the cameras are seeing.
The dial is machined and ground from 4140 PH steel and nickel coated. Casings sit on a glass insert that is polished and ground for accuracy. Product transfer dials driven by servo motors are constantly tracking position and give load feedback. The continuous motion system offers a low maintenance and low cost of ownership design reducing wear surfaces and moving parts.
